NHS EVERGREEN SUPPLIER ASSESSMENT
It is now a mandatory requirement for suppliers who are already on any NHS Supply Chain framework or who are participating in new tenders to complete and submit an Evergreen sustainable supplier assessment each year.
All suppliers to the NHS are being encouraged to complete the assessment even if they don’t have a Supply Chain contract.
In this exclusive masterclass for Optic UK members, Sarah Joy Newton, an experienced tender bid writer, sustainability lead and NHS procurement expert, explained what you need to know and do.

CONTRACTUAL SOCIAL VALUE IN TENDERS

TENDER PASS OR FAIL
All NHS tenders since April 2024 require suppliers to submit a carbon reduction plan in line with PPN 06/21 as a pass/fail element. This means you need to have collected all the mandatory data in 2023 to input into your CRP. The NHS roadmap towards net zero means all suppliers need to join them on this journey or risk being excluded from tendering or supplying to the NHS. In this exclusive 60-minute masterclass for Optic UK members, Sarah Joy Newton, an experienced tender bid writer, sustainability lead and NHS procurement expert, was your guide.
